The question to ask year:

Jīnnián shì nǎ yī nián?
Q: 今年是哪一年？
Which year is this year?

Jīnnián shì èr líng èr sì nián.
A: 今年是2024年。
This year is 2024.

When you say age, it’s “suì 岁” which means year’s old. Forexample:

nǐ jǐ suì le
你几岁了？
How old are you?

wǒ liù suì le
我六岁了。
I’m six year’s old.

nǐ duō dà le ？
你多大了？
How old are you?

wǒ èr shí bā suì le
我二十八岁了。
I’m 28 year’s old.

nǐ de hái zi duō dà le ？
你的孩子多大了？
How old is your child?

wǒ de hái zi yī suì sān gè yuè le
我的孩子一岁三个月了。
My child is 1 year old and 3 months.
